Nicole Blair is an architect and general contractor working in Austin, Texas, the city where she was born and raised.  Her practice (formerly Studio 512) focuses on residential, small commercial, and public art building projects.  In 2019 Elle Decor named Nicole one of the greatest living architects in the world, alongside several Pritzker Prize winners.  Her projects have received design awards at the local (AIA Austin), state (Texas Society of Architects), and international (Dezeen) levels, and her work has been published by Architectural Record, Dwell, and Texas Architect.  She gained early work experience in the NYC offices of Robert A.M. Stern and Peter Eisenman and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Textiles and Apparel from Cornell and a Master of Architecture from Rice.

Nicole believes the relationships built with clients, artisans, contractors, and subcontractors along the way are as important as the buildings themselves. She measures success not only by the end product, but also by how we get there.
